Steve’s areas of practice include corporate and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and estate planning. In 1992, Steve received his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, beginning his legal career with Epstein, Becker & Green in Dallas, Texas, practicing in the employment law arena. In 1993, Steve moved to Vial, Hamilton, Koch & Knox (VHKK), and began practicing law in the business/corporate section. During his 5 year tenure there, he also worked in the local government section, co-authoring and presenting seminars on issues affecting local governments.
In 1998, Steve was recruited to the firm of David, Goodman & Madole (DG&M), where he spent several years in the business/corporate and estate planning section, as well as working extensively in the area involving corporate sponsorships of sports and special events. In 2002, Steve left as a shareholder at DG&M to form Leggett & Clemons, PLLC.

Steve is admitted to the Texas Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas.
Involvement
Steve is active in Baylor Alumni groups and is a past president of the Collin County Alumni Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Personal
Steve has three children: a son Will, a daughter Maycie, and a son Sam. Steve also has four step-children: a son named Brycen, a son named Hayden, a daughter named Emma Kate and a son named Cole. Steve and his wife Jina enjoy traveling, attending just about any Baylor athletic event and spending time with their family.
