Dewey now focuses his practice on commercial and correspondent lending, but still handles a substantial amount of ranch sales and purchases, together with other commercial real estate matters. He has been published in national and regional magazines and newsletters, spoken in seminars, and testified as an expert in real estate disputes.
Dewey began his legal career in 1989 with Johnson, Bromberg & Leeds in Dallas, Texas. This firm later merged with the Cleveland-based firm of Arter & Hadden. Subsequently, Dewey became a shareholder in the firm of David, Goodman & Madole in Dallas (now Fox Rothschild). In 2002, after 8 years with David, Goodman & Madole, Dewey joined with Steve Clemons and formed Leggett & Clemons, PLLC, the precursor to Leggett Clemons Crandall, PLLC.

Admissions
Dewey is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Involvement
Dewey was involved in the early years of Lovejoy High School, with positions in numerous booster clubs. For a dozen years he was the voice of the nationally recognized Lady Leopard Volleyball team. Dewey, a member of the Board of Trustees of Oklahoma Christian University, regularly teaches classes at Waterview Church of Christ.
Personal
He enjoys bird hunting with his Brittany and Chesapeake Bay Retriever, as well as bass fishing, and many years ago was a formidable competitor on several bass fishing tournament trials.
